2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account information. When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your email address and, for subscribers, billing information handled by our payment processor.
- Chat content. Messages, prompts, attachments, and any other content you submit to the Service.
- Support requests. If you contact us by email, we keep your message and our response.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, messages sent, timestamps, and similar diagnostic information.
- Device and connection data. IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for session management, security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit functionality.
2.3 Information from third parties
We receive limited information from our payment processor (Stripe) — transaction status, last four digits of your payment method, and billing country — but we do not store full card numbers. We may also receive information from error-monitoring and analytics providers.

4. How we share your information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us
operate the Service, including:
- Anthropic (model inference — receives your prompt and returns generated Output);
- Stripe (payment processing);
- Hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Email delivery providers;
- Error-monitoring and analytics providers.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If Lex AI, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent. For any other purpose, only with your explicit, informed consent.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with Bowersox Exploration, LLC or any of its affiliates.
5. Model training
We do not use your prompts or Output to train large language models. Our model inference provider (Anthropic) handles your prompts under its own API terms; those terms currently prohibit training on customer API inputs and outputs without explicit opt-in. If those terms change, we will update this policy and notify affected users.
6. Retention
We retain account and subscription records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your chat history at any time by emailing jillohiggins@gmail.com. Some information (for example, billing records) may be retained where required by law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including TLS in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you of any breach that materially affects your information as required by applicable law.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your account and associated personal information;
- receive a portable copy of information you provided to us;
- object to or restrict certain processing activities.

9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
